ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville men's tennis defeated North Carolina Central, 7-0, on Saturday, Feb. 23, to remain undefeated on the 2019 spring season.
The Bulldogs are now 8-0 on the season.
The nationally-ranked No. 1 duo of Henry Patten and Oli Nolan remained undefeated on the season at No. 1 doubles. Quinn Fender and Edward Colclough got the victory at No. 3 to claim the doubles point for the Bulldogs. The match at No. 2 was left unfinished.
The Bulldogs dominated the singles portion of the match by sweeping the Eagles 6-0. UNC Asheville men's tennis did not drop a single set throughout the match.
The Bulldogs will have a quick turnaround as they host Appalachian State on Sunday, Feb. 24, at 3 p.m. at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown. The Mountaineers are 1-6 on the season.
