Offensive Attack
Ten different Bulldogs have scored at least one goal so far this season, with junior Tyson Hichman leading the way with four. His goal in the home opener against VMI proved to be the game-winner.
Sophomore Nate Evans had a strong start to league play, scoring the game winner in each of the first two Saturday road conference matches. His goal against USC Upstate proved to be the only one of the match, and he scored the first of three for the Bulldogs against Winthrop, October 5.
As a team, the Bulldogs scored three goals at home against High Point, October 2, in a 4-3 defeat before taking down Winthrop, 3-0. It was the first time since 2010 the Bulldogs had scored three goals in consecutive games.
In addition to Hichman and Evans, Izaiah Vignali, Kyle Adams, Colin Daughtry, Frank Morales, Andrew Rossetti, Noe Varner, Tanner Gilliam and Dino Dziergas have each recorded a goal for the Bulldogs, while Adams leads the team with three assists.
Scouting the Musketeers
Xavier enters the matchup at 7-6-1 and 3-4 in Big East play and is coming off consecutive league victories, defeating Seton Hall, 2-1, and DePaul, 1-0, last week.
Samson Sergi and Karsen Henderlong lead the way in scoring for the Musketeers, scoring seven and six goals on the season, respectively. Four players are tied for the team lead with two assists apiece.
Matthew Rosenberg has started all 14 matches in goal for Xavier, recording 66 saves while allowing just 15 goals for a .815 save percentage on the season.
