ATHENS, Ga. – The UNC Asheville men's tennis doubles duo of Henry Patten and Oli Nolan advanced to the round of 16 with a win on Saturday at the 51st Southern Intercollegiate Championships at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
In the round of 32, Patten and Nolan bested Daniel Groom and Cole Groetsch of UNCW, 8-3. The round of 16 in doubles will take place on Sunday.
In singles, the nationally 60th-ranked Patten bowed out in the round of 16 with a 7-6 (2), 2-6, 6-3Â loss to Mikhail Sokolovsky of UCF.
