How It Happened

North Florida connected with four shots in the first 20 minutes of action. Of those four, two were on frame. Lee made one save, while sophomore Skyler Chillson earned a save, as she deflected a shot on goal following a UNF corner.

The Ospreys took five more shots in the final 25 minutes in the first half, but the Bulldogs fended off the UNF attack.

At the half, Lee had three saves.

Bella Iorio took the Bulldogs' first shot of the game in the 49th minute, but the attempt went wide left.

At the 56th minute, Asheville earned its first corner of the contest. Following a cross from Alice Walker, Kyra Kandel drilled a shot, but the attempt went just above the crossbar.

Six minutes later, Gillian Oyos tried to get the Bulldog offense moving, as she smoked a shot from long range. However, the UNF goalkeeper smothered the shot on goal.

At the 65th minute, the Ospreys started to pepper the UNC Asheville net, as they connected with four shots in a five-minute span. Two of those shots were blocked, and Lee corralled a pair of saves in that stretch.

After going back-and-forth for several minutes, the game was suspended at the 87th minute due to lightning in the area.

After a 30-minute delay, the Ospreys netted the game-winning goal seconds after restarting the contest. Brandi Walker connected with the shot, and it was her first goal of the season.

The Bulldogs tried to surge, but the Ospreys headed off the Asheville attack to claim the 1-0 victory.

Lee finished the contest with seven saves, which matches a single-game career-high for the sophomore. She also corralled seven saves at Longwood last season.

Oyos connected with two shots, including one on goal. Kandel, Iorio and Grace Sloan all tallied a shot as well.
