ROCK HILL, S.C. – UNC Asheville men's tennis will be the seventh seed in the 2018 Big South Men's Tennis Championship at the Rock Hill Tennis Center.

The seventh-seeded Bulldogs (7-12, 2-5 Big South Conference) will battle second-seeded Campbell (14-5, 6-1 Big South Conference) in the quarterfinals of the 2018 Big South Men's Tennis Championship at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 16.

The match will mark the second meeting between the two teams in just over a week with the Bulldogs closing out their home regular season matches with a match against the Camels on Sunday, April 8.

The UNC Asheville men's tennis team narrowly dropped its regular-season home finale to Campbell, 4-3.

It will also mark the second consecutive meeting between the two teams in the Big South Tournament. After a 4-3 win over Gardner-Webb in the quarterfinals last year, UNC Asheville bowed out of the championship with a 4-2 loss to the Camels on April 20, 2017.

UNC Asheville enters the 2018 Big South Men's Tennis Championship with nationally 79th-ranked Henry Patten in the midst of an eight-match winning streak in singles. Patten led the Bulldogs during the regular season with 11 wins in singles.

In doubles, Patten and Olly Cull are currently ranked 56th nationally. The duo tied for the team lead in doubles with 11 wins.
