Bulldogs Continue League Play Saturday at Liberty

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The UNC Asheville men's tennis team returns to Big South Conference action this weekend by traveling to Liberty for a 1 p.m. match on Saturday, March 10.
BULLDOG BITES
Series
UNC Asheville owns a 16-11 all-time series edge over Liberty. UNC Asheville closed out its 2017 regular season last year with a 5-2 home victory over Liberty on Senior Day on Thursday, April 13, 2017, at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown. The regular season-closing win over Liberty last year allowed 2017 Big South Men's Tennis Player of the Year Henry Patten to finish the regular season with a perfect 19-0 record. Patten is currently ranked 55th nationally this season.
About the Bulldogs
UNC Asheville is presently 3-7 (0-1 Big South Conference) on the 2018 spring season. Olly Cull and Finlay Ray McFadyen lead the Bulldogs with six singles wins each. Cull and Patten are a perfect 5-0 in doubles.
About Liberty
The Flames welcome UNC Asheville owning a record of 7-7 on the 2018 spring season. Liberty is currently 1-0 on the season in league play and their matchup against UNC Asheville will be their second conference match of the weekend with the Flames hosting Gardner-Webb one day earlier.
