ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's basketball team continues its journey in the Big South Conference Tournament, as the Bulldogs will now square off with No. 2 Radford in the semifinal round on Saturday, March 10, at 4 p.m in the Vines Center in Lynchburg, Va.

Third-seeded UNC Asheville advanced to the semifinals of the 2018 Big South Women's Basketball Championship with a 47-42 victory over sixth-seeded Campbell in the quarterfinal round of the tournament at the Vines Center on Friday, March 9.Â
UNC Asheville's win allowed the Bulldogs to pick up their eighth straight Big South Tournament win.Â
UNC Asheville held Campbell to single-digit scoring in each of the final three quarters of the game. The Bulldogs shot 38.8 percent (19-of-49) as a team in their win, while Campbell shot 28 percent (14-of-50).Â
Bronaza Fitzgerald paced the Bulldogs with 14 points on 7-for-11 shooting. Khaila Webb was right behind her teammate, as the guard totaled 13 points on 6-for-16 shooting.Â
Fitzgerald led the Bulldogs with eight rebounds. Jessica Wall grabbed six boards, as she connected with three 3-pointers in the quarterfinal round versus Campbell.Â
Scouting the Highlanders
Radford enters the semifinal contest with a 23-7 overall mark this season. The Highlanders concluded the regular season with a 15-3 mark in conference play, as they split with Asheville during the regular season.Â
Three Highlanders - Jayda Worthy, Destinee Walker and Janayla White - pace the offense for Radford. Worthy has started in 29 of the 30 games this year, as she averages 11.7 points per game (ppg) in 25.9 minutes per contest. Walker is right behind her teammate, as she averages 11.1 ppg, and White rounds out the double-digit averages with 10.2 ppg.

Saturday's contest marks the 71st all-time meeting between the two clubs with Radford owning a 49-21 advantage over Asheville.Â
In the two head-to-head games during the regular season, three Bulldogs - Webb, Wall and Fitzgerald - posted double-digits in points per game. Webb paced the team with 16.5 ppg, while Wall and Fitzgerald each tallied 13.5 ppg.Â
Radford had three players average above 9 ppg in Destinee Walker, Claudia Quevedo and Jayda Worthy. Walker led the squad netting 11 ppg, while Quevedo and Worthy each averaged 9.5 ppg.Â
