UNC Asheville Athletics Graduates Four Student-Athletes at December Commencement Ceremonies

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – In UNC Asheville's goal of "Building Champions in Athletics & Leaders in Life," the ultimate goal is graduating its student-athletes and sending them from "backpacks to briefcases."
Four more UNC Asheville student-athletes accomplished the tremendous achievement on Friday, Dec. 14, 2018, when they graduated during Commencement ceremonies held at Kimmel Arena.
The four student-athletes represented three different sports (volleyball, men's and women's soccer) during the 2018 December Commencement ceremonies.
UNC Asheville Director of Athletics Janet R. Cone is as always extremely proud of the efforts of the four student-athletes graduating.
"Speaking for the entire athletics department, I would like to congratulate these tremendous student-athletes and wish all of them a great deal of future success," Cone said. "I think what our student-athletes are doing in the classroom sometimes is lost in all of the great things they are doing athletically for our university, but their efforts athletically are really just a small part of the story. We truly have student-athletes at UNC Asheville that value and champion achieving and thriving with their academic, athletic and lifelong goals."
