Nolan and Patten Knock Off Nationally 12th-Ranked Duo from Virginia Tech

SURPRISE, Ariz. - For the second straight day, the UNC Asheville men's tennis duo of Oli Nolan and Henry Patten knocked off one of the top-30 doubles pairings in the nation at the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex.Â
In the round of 16 on Thursday, the duo of Nolan and Patten bested the nationally 12th-ranked tandem of Alex Ribeiro and Henrik Korsgaard of Virginia Tech 7-5, 7-5.
In the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships quarterfinals on Friday, Nolan and Patten will have another chance to knock off one of the best in the nation when the Bulldog duo meets the nationally seventh-ranked pairing of Giovanni Oradini and Niclas Braun of Mississippi State.
The match is scheduled for an 8 p.m. EST start on Friday, Nov. 9.
