Nolan and Patten Advance to Doubles Final at ITA Carolina Regional Championship

CARY, N.C. – For the second straight year the UNC Asheville men's tennis team will be a part of the championship match at the ITA Carolina Regional Championship.
UNC Asheville's Oli Nolan and Henry Patten won twice on Monday to advance to the doubles championship at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at the Cary Tennis Park.
In the quarterfinals UNC Asheville's doubles duo bested third-seeded Simon Baudry and Yi Zhou Liu of Clemson 6-4, 6-3.
The fifth-seeded duo of UNC Asheville then downed sixth-seeded Mac Kiger and Josh Peck of North Carolina 6-4, 6-4 in the semifinals.
Nolan and Patten will take on fourth-seeded Bo Boyden and Anu Kodali of North Carolina in the doubles championship match at the ITA Carolina Regional.
Nolan and Patten are looking to claim their second doubles title of the fall. Earlier this fall the duo picked up the title at the 51st Southern Intercollegiate Championships at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
