Bulldogs Host Annual Pink Meet in First Dual Meet of the Season on Saturday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – For the first dual meet of the 2018-19 season, the UNC Asheville swimming & diving team hosts Campbell on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 10:30 a.m. in the Justice Center Pool.
The meet will also serve as the annual Pink Meet, which is to support the fight against breast cancer.

Last Time Out
The last meet for the Bulldogs was the annual intrasquad and first-ever alumni meet on Sept. 29.
After the second 10-minute break, the Blue Team seemed to have a commanding lead over the Silver Team, 76-56. However the Silver Team came storming back in the final six events to only fall by nine points, 124-115.
Also 16 Bulldog alumni returned to campus with 14 competing in alumni-only swimming events throughout the meet.
About the Meet
The dual meet versus Campbell will be the first head-to-head meet this season. It will also be the first Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) meet of the regular season as well.
There are 14 total events with two breaks. The first event of the meet is the 200 medley relay, and the meet will conclude with the 200 freestyle relay.
Last Time Versus Campbell
The last time the two squads faced off was last season, and the Camels claimed a 162-100 victory over UNC Asheville in Buies Creek, N.C.
Skylar Rogan seized first place in two events – 1000 freestyle and 500 freestyle – while Morgan Rulevich also swept first-place honors in the two breaststroke events (200 and 100 breaststroke).
Also earning first-place honors at last year's meet was Catherine Allen, as the reigning CCSA Scholar-Athlete of the Year won the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:07.14.
