ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's basketball team travels to Radford on Jan. 9 for a rematch of last year's Big South Conference Championship game. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. inside the Dedmon Center in Radford, Va.

About UNC Asheville
In their conference home opener, the Bulldogs were competitive for three quarters as they were only down three points (42-39) heading into the fourth quarter, but High Point out-scored Asheville 16-6 in the final 10 minutes to claim the 58-45 victory inside Kimmel Arena.
Khaila Webb was the lone Bulldog to post double-digits as she connected with 10 points on 3-for-10 shooting. She went a perfect 4-for-4 from the line to go along with seven rebounds and a pair of assists. Bronaza Fitzgerald recorded eight points and led the team in total rebounds (12) and blocks (2). Zip Scott had the best shooting percentage (.571, 4-for-7) for UNC Asheville, and in 39 minutes of play, Jessica Wall tallied four assists.
Despite Asheville out-rebounding High Point 36-33, the Panthers out-scored the Bulldogs 26-9 in points off turnovers and 23-6 in bench points.
In the last three road contests (Wofford, USC Upstate and Campbell), the Bulldogs are 2-1 and have won the last two games. As a team, Asheville has a +4.0 scoring margin as it averages 68.0 points per game (ppg) and allows 64.0 ppg. The Bulldogs are also out-rebounding teams 108-87 and have a +7.0 rebounding margin. They are also averaging 6.0 steals per contest and 14.7 assists per game.
During that same road stretch, Wall is leading the surge as she averages 16.0 ppg. She has started all three contests and averages 33.8 minutes per game.
