UNC Asheville Heads to Virginia For First Meet of 2018

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville swim team heads to Lynchburg, Va. to take on Liberty and Marshall on Jan. 13 at the Liberty Natatorium. The weekend meet will be the Bulldogs' first meet since their mid-season event in November.Â

About the Meet
This is the first meet for the Bulldogs in the new year, and the event will also be the first tri-meet of the season for Asheville where three teams will compete instead of the usual two squads.Â
This meet will be contested all at once but scored as separate dual meets. The swimmers will all swim in heats at the same time but will score differently with each team. Liberty will have scores against both UNC Asheville and Marshall, and UNC Asheville will have scores against both Marshall and Liberty.
The meet will be a 16-event format, which includes two diving breaks. The first event starts at 11 a.m. with the 200 medley relay.
