Bulldogs Close Out Second Day of Action at Davidson Invitational

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The UNC Asheville men's tennis team finished out the second day of the Davidson Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 30.

Playing at No. 1 singles, UNC Asheville's Henry Patten went a perfect 2-0 on the day. Against Queens' No. 1 in Sebastian Meum, Patten took a 6-3, 6-0 victory. The reigning Big South Player of the Year bested USC Upstate No. 1 Felix Ewers, 6-2, 6-4.

In the Bulldog matchup against Queens, Andrew Sinai collected a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles over Queens' Kasper Rolfsen. At No. 5 singles, Finlay Ray McFayden downed Queens' Jordan Owens, 6-0, 6-1.

UNC Asheville's Reese Daly secured a hard-fought 7-5, 4-6, 10-8 win over Eugeno Zanasi at No. 6 singles. Edward Colclough also bested Davidson's Matthew Rose 3-6, 7-5, 10-4 at flight No. 7.

The Davidson Invitational wraps up on Sunday starting at 10 a.m. and concluding with a final doubles match at 1 p.m.
