Patten Puts Together Impressive Saturday at Princeton Ivy Plus Invitational

Elon Fall Invitational Updated Draw
PRINCETON, N.J. – It was an exceptional Saturday for UNC Asheville men's tennis standout Henry Patten at the Princeton Ivy Plus Invitational.
In the Tiger Draw singles portion of the event on Saturday, Patten first had his opponent in Penn's Kyle Mautner retire to leave Patten with the 6-4 win to move on to face Charlie Broom of Dartmouth.
Patten rebounded from a first set loss to take a 3-6, 6-3, 10-6 win over Broom. Patten will now face off against South Carolina's Yancy Dennis at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24.
Teaming up with Jordan Belga, Patten in the Pagoda doubles section of the Princeton Ivy Plus Invitational will play for a championship at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.
At the Elon Fall Invitational, UNC Asheville's Andrew Sinai fell 6-2, 6-2 to Louis Rico of Elon in the Phoenix singles section of the event. Later in the day in the consolation portion of the bracket, Sinai dropped a 6-4, 6-3 decision to Javi Renones of East Carolina.
In the Powell singles division at the Elon Fall Invitational, UNC Asheville's Finlay Ray McFayden fell 6-1, 6-0 to Easton Thomas of College of Charleston. Later that day in the consolation round, McFayden fell 6-1, 6-2 to Jorge Bartra of North Carolina A&T.
UNC Asheville's Edward Colclough lost his first match of the day on Saturday, but he bounced back in the consolation round of the Powell singles bracket with a 7-6, 7-5 win over Logan Blaser of UNCG.
In the White singles portion of the Elon Fall Invitational, Reese Daly of UNC Asheville lost a hard-fought match to North Carolina Central's Pablo Juez Torres, 2-6, 7-5, 6-1.
