ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Head golf coach Breanne Hall announced Wednesday that Baylee Evans has signed her National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and golf career at UNC Asheville beginning in the fall of 2018.
"Baylee is a great addition to the UNC Asheville golf program. She is passionate about the game and has the tools to be successful at the collegiate level," Hall stated. "I am excited to have her join the Bulldog family, and I look forward to watching her grow as a player."
Evans is a native of Lancaster, S.C. and attends Lancaster High School. During her junior season, she won the 2017 Beth Daniel Junior Azalea (71-73) and the 2016 WSCGA Junior Championship (70-70-70) while finishing 2nd at the 2017 Sea Pines Junior Heritage (77-74).
At the age of 14, Evans was selected to compete for Team USA in the Down Under Sports International Golf Tournament in Brisbane, Australia. While playing for Team USA, she won a gold medal, two silver medals and was named MVP of the tournament.
