Swimming Hosts CCSA Rival Georgia Southern on Saturday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – To conclude the homestand, the UNC Asheville swimming team hosts Coastal Collegiate Sports Association rival Georgia Southern at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Justice Center Pool.
BULLDOG BITES
Last Time Out
Junior Morgan Rulevich paced the Bulldogs in their last meet versus UNC Wilmington. The Lake Wylie, S.C. native won all four events she raced in – 400 medley relay, 100 breaststroke, 50 freestyle and 200 breaststroke.
Placing first and second in the 1000 freestyle was Skylar Rogan followed by Adee Weller, and also finishing first in her event was Emily Werth in the 100 backstroke.
UNC Asheville pulled off a team sweep in the 200 backstroke as Alejandra Sanchez Garcia placed first followed by Stephanie Smith and Werth.
Despite the 15-point loss to the Seahawks, it was the closest ever meet against UNC Wilmington. The previous closest meet with the Seahawks was in 2016 when the Bulldogs fell 204-89, so last week's meet was a 100-point improvement from last year.
About the Meet
Saturday's meet will conclude the two-meet homestand for the Bulldogs. The home meet will also be the last one until the regular season finale when UNC Asheville hosts North Florida on Jan. 26-27.
There are 14 events on Saturday including three relays, five freestyles, two backstrokes, two butterflys and two breaststroke races.
The first event on Saturday will begin at 1 p.m. with the 200 medley relay.
