UNC Asheville Sits Fourth While Deery Paces Bulldogs at F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – After the first two rounds at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate, the UNC Asheville women's golf team sits in 4th place, while sophomore Adelyn Deery leads the Bulldogs as she is tied for 8th individually after the first two rounds at the Clarksville Country Club.

First and Second Round Highlights
After the first 36 holes, the Bulldogs are in 4th place at 49-over 625 (313-312). Asheville is a pair of strokes behind host school Austin Peay while holding a commanding lead over Big South Conference rival Radford by 13 strokes.
Leading the Bulldogs is Deery, who is tied for 8th with Hanna Netishingha of Southern Illinois. In Deery's first round, she carded a 4-over 76, and she capped off her first day at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate with a 5-over 77 (9-over 153 in total).
Janie Thomas is right behind Deery after the first 36 holes as Thomas is tied for 11th with three other individuals at 11-over 155. She saw herself in the top 10 after the first round as she tied a season-low 3-over 75 in the opening round.
Kellen Alsip and Linna Brooks are also in the top 20 as they are tied for 20th at 15-over 159. Playing as an individual for the first time this year, Becca Black is tied for 24th at 16-over 160.
Southern Illinois leads the team leaderboard at 30-over 606 and holds a 13-stroke advantage over Louisiana-Monroe.
Mallory Sullivan of Belmont leads the individual pack at 2-over 146, and she holds a one-stroke lead on Shani White of ULM.

The Bulldogs will conclude the final round of the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate on Tuesday at 8 a.m. on holes 10a-12b. UNC Asheville will be paired with Belmont and Big South member Radford to conclude the final 18 holes on Tuesday.
