RADFORD, Va. – In a battle of two of the teams in the top three in the Big South Conference volleyball standings, the UNC Asheville volleyball team fell 3-1 (21-25, 25-18, 25-8, 25-12) to Radford on Friday, Oct. 13, at the Dedmon Center.

The match was the first of two on the weekend for the Bulldogs, who will next take on High Point at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14. 

UNC Asheville opened up the match with a 25-21 victory in the first set, but Radford would rebound to win the next three sets to pick up the win.

In the Bulldog loss, Cara Guthrie ended her efforts with a double-double with 13 digs and 12 kills.

KK Haley was the other Bulldog with double-digit kills in the match with 11. She also had six digs.

The Bulldog attack was paced by Kailey Hackett's 16 assists. Carter Kennedy finished her night with 11 assists.

Mallory McKnight led the Highlanders in the match with 16 kills.
