BULLDOG BITES
SERIES WITH WINTHROP: Tuesday night's game with Winthrop will be the 70th meeting between the two programs with the Bulldogs owning a 40-29 advantage in the series head-to-head. Asheville swept the two meetings last season by scores of 67-59 and 63-55.

LEADING THE WAY: Entering Tuesday's game at Winthrop, Asheville is currently the top scoring team in the Big South Conference, averaging 67.4 points per contest. The Bulldogs also lead the conference in field goal percentage as they have hit on 41.9 percent of their attempts from the field.

AT THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN: After scoring 80 points in Saturday's game at Longwood, UNC Asheville is now 6-0 this season when scoring 70 or more points. The Bulldogs are also 3-0 when scoring 80 or more points.

MAKING THEM COUNT: Junior guard Khaila Webb has been perfect at the free throw line in both of the previous two games, converting all 11 of her attempts. She went 6-for-6 last Tuesday in the Big South opener against Campbell and followed that up by converting all five of her free throws on Saturday at Longwood. Webb has been perfect at the charity stripe seven times this season and boasts a free throw shooting percentage of .829, tops on the team of players who have made 20 or more free throw attempts.

CLEANING THE OFFENSIVE GLASS: In the Bulldogs' last four games, senior KJ Weaver has corralled in 22 offensive rebounds, including a season-high eight against Harvard and seven at home against Campbell. Weaver has brought down five or more offensive boards four times this season.

IT'S AN HONOR: Prior to the win over Wofford, Tianna Knuckles was honored for joining the prestigious 1,000-point club at UNC Asheville. One of only 105 in Big South Women's Basketball history to surpass 1,000 points, Knuckles passed the 1,000-point mark in the Bulldog win over Western Carolina on Friday, Nov. 18, at Kimmel Arena. The senior guard out of Wendell, N.C. now has 1,126 career points.

GET ON BOARD: UNC Asheville senior center KJ Weaver became the 108th player in Big South Conference women's basketball history to eclipse the 500 rebound plateau in the Bulldogs' win over Western Carolina on Nov. 18. Weaver presently has 587 rebounds in her career.

UP NEXT: Following Tuesday's road game at Winthrop, Asheville will play four of the next six games at home starting with Saturday's 2 p.m. contest against High Point inside Kimmel Arena.

QUOTABLES
"We will keep our focus the same going into Tuesday's matchup at Winthrop. We must stay tough on the glass and continue to work on our execution without turnovers. Road wins are extremely tough to get in this league and our girls understand that our level of play needs to continue improving." - Brenda Mock Kirkpatrick
