ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's volleyball team lost 0-3 to High Point on Saturday afternoon.
The Panthers took the first set 25-18, the Bulldogs rallied and came up short in the second set 24-26.
High Point closed the match 25-19 to sweep the Bulldogs in three.
NOTABLES
-The Bulldog offense was led by Cara Guthrie with 7 kills. Freshman Carter Kennedy was the most efficient hitter for Asheville at .600.
-Madisen Zyburt had 10 digs in the match.
QUOTABLES
We had a very good match today. Our team played well but needed to be more consistent in the finishing stages of each set. We are working to keep improving and moving forward.
