ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville Bulldogs women's soccer team will host the Lady Bulldogs of Alabama A&M at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 18, at Greenwood Field.

NOTABLES:

Last Time Out: The Asheville Bulldogs had a two-match winning streak snapped on Friday night, losing by 5-1 to the North Dakota State Bisons in the first meeting ever between the two programs. Senior Paige Trent tallied Asheville's only goal, assisted by Jessica Dooley.

Scouting Alabama A&M: The Lady Bulldogs arrive having lost two straight after getting their first win of the year, 1-0 against the University of Alabama in Huntsville two weeks ago. Alabama A&M has put only two balls into the net in seven matches this year. Junior Margret Sesay scored for the Lady Bulldogs in Friday night's loss to ETSU.

Eve of Conference Play: This is the last game before the start of conference play for both teams. In the pre-season coaches' polls, UNC Asheville was picked tied for fifth in the Big South, and Alabama A&M was picked to finish eighth in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.

QUOTABLES

"Alabama A&M is our last non conference game of the season. They are athletic, competitive and searching for a result in our match. We are aware of their tendencies but when the whistle blows I believe we give ourselves the best opportunity to win if we focus on our strengths and our game plan. So far our non conference schedule has allowed us to learn more about ourselves under pressure than ever before. Alabama A&M gives us another opportunity to continue that pursuit. I expect us to come out with high energy, good mobility in the attack and a focus on speed of play." - Head coach Michelle Demko
