UNC Asheville Blue & White Intersquad

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's swimming team will open their 2016-17 season with a Blue & White Intersquad Meet in Justice Pool this Saturday, September 17 at noon.
The Bulldogs are entering their fifth year as a program since its inception in 2012.
NOTABLES
Bulldog Breakdown: Asheville's 2016-17 squad features 25 swimmers with four newcomers and 21 returners. The largest group of returners is the sophomore class with 10 swimmers, followed by eight juniors and three seniors.
Victory Lap: Last year, the Bulldogs graduated their first senior class to have competed for Asheville for four years. The two seniors, Galen Broido and Alessandra Troncoso held five individual program records and were a part of two record-holding relay teams.
15-16 Flashback: Asheville finished seventh overall at the 2015-16 CCSA Championships in February of this year. Head coach Elizabeth Lykins also earned Co-Coach of the Year honors from the league.
Rulevich Rules: Returning sophomore Morgan Rulevich earned the first NCAA Provsional (B) Cut in Asheville program history in the 200 yard Breaststroke at the CCSA Championships last year with her time of 2:15.45. The Lake Wylie, S.C. native holds five individual freshman and program records.

- Following this Saturday's Intersquad meet, the Bulldogs will travel to Charlotte N.C. for a meet with Queens, Davidson and George Washington College on Friday, September 30 and Saturday October 1.
