Inaugural Women's Golf Team Tees Off for the First Time

Teams: Boston University, Cleveland State, Georgetown, IUPUI, Richmond, Seton Hall, UNC Asheville, UNC Greensboro, William & Mary
Location: The River Course at Kingsmill Resort, Williamsburg, Va.
Time: Sunday-shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., Monday: 8:30 a.m.
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. –The 2016 Inaugural women's golf team tees off for the first time in school history on Sunday, September 11 at The River Course at Kingsmill Resort in a tournament hosted by William & Mary.
The 6,043 yard par-72 course has been home to PGA, LPA and William & Mary events.
The six-member Bulldog team made up of all freshmen and Head Coach Breanne Hall will take their first steps into the UNC Asheville history books on Sunday at 8:30 a.m.
NOTABLES
-The two-day tournament will feature 53 golfers representing nine teams.
-Asheville's golfers will tee off of 13, 14, 15 and16 in the order of Alsip, Brooks, Back, Olberding and Thomas, they will be paired with Fairfield and individuals from various teams. Deery will be playing as an individual, starting on 17.
-The Bulldogs' six players represent six different states: Ohio, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Kentucky, Florida and North Carolina.

-Following this weekend's tournament, The Bulldogs will travel to Greensboro, N.C. to play in a tournament hosted by UNC Greensboro on October 9-10 at the Starmount Forest Country Club.
