Birmingham, AL- The UNC Asheville women's soccer team travels to Birmingham this Thursday looking to pick up their third straight win on the road over the UAB. The Bulldogs and the Blazers will face off at 7:00 p.m. (CST), 8:00 p.m. (EST).

NOTEABLES
Bouncing Back: After an 0-2 start to the season, Asheville has responded with two straight victories on the road over Wofford College (2-1) and Western Carolina University (3-1).

First Faceoff: Thursday's match will be the first time that Asheville and UAB have met on the pitch.

Scouting UAB:  In their most recent game at Louisville, Goalkeeper, Kelsey Daughtery, had six saves, a season-high, in the Blazers 4-1 loss on the road.

Goalie Goods: After the win at Western, Asheville goalkeeper Keller Dixon improved to 2-0 this season.

Offensively Speaking: So far in 2016, Asheville has two Bulldogs with two goals, Rachel Snyder and Ellie Stone. However, Senior Paige Trent leads Asheville with most total shots (10), and shots on goal (6).

QUOTABLES:

"UAB will be another good test for our program. We match up similarly on our style of play and attacking mindset. UAB's attacking players are very crafty on the run and dribble. They are at home looking to gain some momentum. I fully expect them to come out with the will to win which means psychologically we need to be up for the challenge. We had a good response to our early road games but we will need to continue to focus on the details especially against teams that will stretch us because that is how we get better. Should be a good match up." —UNC Asheville head women's soccer coach Michelle Demko
