Meet the Inaugural Women's Golf Team: Erica Olberding

The UNC Asheville Women's Golf team will become the Bulldogs' 16th sport when it tees off this fall. Head Coach Breanne Hall announced the inaugural Bulldog women's golf signing class last fall, signing the first four student-athletes in program history.
Let's meet Erica Olberding, a native of West Des Moines, Iowa –
A Central Iowa Conference Champion after winning a three-hole playoff, Erica Olberding was a part of state championship teams as a junior and a senior and received first team All-State honors. She was a top-five finisher at the Club at Irish Creek AJGA in Kannapolis, North Carolina.

What I am looking forward to about playing college golf: I am looking forward to playing challenging courses and competitors.
Why I chose UNC Asheville: I loved that UNC Asheville was going to be a new program and North Carolina has warmer weather than Iowa. I feel Coach Hall will help improve my golf game and be a great mentor.
