ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville welcomes Tennessee to town in a special midweek game at McCormick Field in downtown Asheville on Tuesday night as the Bulldogs host the Volunteers at 6:00 p.m. with ticket proceeds going toward the VS. Cancer Foundation to help cure children's cancer.
NOTABLES
Leading the Way: Junior Joe Tietjen currently leads the Bulldogs in multiple offensive categories including average (.433), hits (26), doubles (7) and RBI (23) though the first 15 games of the season.
At the Dish: Asheville has five players with batting averages sitting at .300 or higher, led by Tietjen, followed by Lucas Owens and Kyle Carruthers, each with a .333 average. Danny Wilson is hitting .302 to date in his freshman campaign, while Joe Zayatz has an even .300 average.
