QUOTABLES FROM HEAD COACH NICK McDEVITT

On the game – “Tonight we just dug ourselves too big of a hole. I was proud of our effort in the second half to continue fighting and give ourselves a chance to win the game, but at the same time we shouldn't have put ourselves in that position due to what we did in the first half.”

On the defense – “It's a testament to our player's toughness, character and willingness to keep fighting and battling even when faced with adversity. We've been in that situation where we've faced big deficits but continued to stay together, continued to fight and down the stretch have a chance to win.”

On the Liberty matchup – “Whoever you face in the tournament is going to be a good team. Certainly playing Liberty and winning Friday's game and advancing will be difficult. They are a good basketball team, they are well coached and have played well as of late. The second half of the season they have been one of the better teams in the league. We have to go into next Friday focused on Liberty and Liberty alone.”
