BULLDOG BITES
Last Time Out: Asheville enters the matchup on a three-game winning streak in which they have defeated Brevard, Coastal Carolina and most recently Elon. In Tuesday's 78-67 road victory over CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top-25 23rd-ranked Elon, three Bulldogs tallied double digits: Kevin Vannatta with 17 points, Ahmad Thomas with 16 and MaCio Teague with 15.
Thomas Leading the Way:  Junior guard, Ahmad Thomas is off to a red-hot start this season. Thomas is leading the Big South Conference in steals with 22 total takeaways and is also sixth in the country in steals per game (2.89). He has also tallied double digits in all eight games this season.
Series: This will be only the second meeting between the two teams. The sole meeting was on Dec. 22 of the 1991-92 season where the Bulldogs prevailed 77-42.
Protecting Home Court: Asheville is undefeated at Kimmel Arena this season with a 2-0 home record. The Bulldogs protected homecourt very efficiently last season, going 12-4 at home with the four losses coming from a combined seven total points.
