Bulldogs Complete Day One at the Big South Preview Tournament

Date: November 5-6. The preview is a 36-hole tournament, with 18 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday.

NINETY SIX, S.C. – The UNC Asheville women's golf team completed day one of the Big South Preview Tournament Saturday afternoon at the Patriot Golf Club. The Bulldogs are in fifth place out of six teams after the first round of play.

Asheville's Linna Brooks leads the way for the Bulldogs, seven over after 18 holes. Brooks shot a 79 on day one.

NOTABLES

-As a team, the Bulldogs are +37 over after round one.

-Brooks' score ranks her 15th overall in competition.

-Gardner-Webb is in first place after day one. The Runnin' Bulldogs are +15 over as a team.

-Five other Big South Conference schools are in attendance for the two-day competition including: Gardner-Webb, Winthrop, High Point, Presbyterian, and Radford.
