QUOTABLES FROM HEAD COACH BRENDA MOCK KIRKPATRICK

On the Game- "We got off to a good start on offense tonight and held that pace throughout the game on an aggressive UNCG team. We shot 54% and that's much improved from the 35% we shot from the floor at Virginia Tech. They also played well offensively and that's something we have to look at. We let one player get 25 on us and defense is something we need to value more consistently. Credit to UNCG for putting together a great game plan in trying to contain KJ Weaver. I was proud of KJ for making good decisions with the ball and still being efficient on both ends of the floor. Chatori Major and Tianna Knuckles were also much more poised tonight and got some great looks. We need to work on getting gritty on the defensive before we play Western at home on Friday night. They have some great scorers that will present a big challenge. We will certainly be glad to be playing in Kimmel Arena for the first time this year."

UP NEXT
