Location: The Ridges Country Club, Hayesville, N.C.
Time: Sunday, October 16, Monday, October 17, and Tuesday, October 18. Tee times are set for 9:00 a.m. at holes #1 and #10 each round.
HAYESVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's golf team completed day one of the Bill-Berg Invitational hosted by Western Carolina University. The Bulldogs are in eighth place out of twelve teams after the first round of play.
Asheville's Janie Thomas leads the way for the Bulldogs, only two over after 18 holes (148). Thomas shot a 74 on day one.
NOTABLES
-As a team, the Bulldogs are +25 over after round one.
-Thomas' score ranks her seventh overall in competition.
-Four other Big South Conference schools are in attendance for the three-day competition including: Presbyterian college, Gardner-Webb University, Radford and Longwood.
