FARMVILLE, V.A. – The UNC Asheville women's soccer team fell 2-0 to the Longwood Lancers Saturday afternoon at the Longwood Athletics Complex.
The Lancers scored their first goal when Janese Quick drove in the game-winner on a free kick in the 59th minute.
Longwood extended to a 2-0 lead when Amanda Spencer added an insurance goal in the 83rd minute.
The Bulldogs were unable to find the back of the net only forcing the Lancers' keeper Maria Kirby to produce one save.
NOTABLES
-UNC Asheville was outshot by Longwood 16-11.
-Goalkeeper Keller Dixon compiled seven saves throughout the match.
-Caroline Houser led the attack for the Bulldogs with three shots on the night and the lone Asheville shot on goal.
