CHARLOTTE, N.C. –UNC Asheville's Rebecca Black (Elizabethtown, Ky.) has been named the Big South Women's Golf Come Ready Nutrition Freshman of the Week.

 

Black was the Big South's top freshman scorer at the Terrier Intercollegiate (par 72, 6,012 yards) with a 12-over par 156 (75-81), which tied her for 21st in the event that featured four Big South members. She was the Bulldogs' top finisher for the second consecutive tournament.

 

Black and UNC Asheville will travel to Cullowhee, N.C. to participate in the Western Carolina Invitational on Sunday, October 16, Monday, October 17, and Tuesday, October 18.
