ASHEVILLE – The UNC Asheville Women's Swim team welcomes North Carolina A&T University to a dual meet in the Justice Center Pool for the Bulldogs' Senior Day, where they will honor their two seniors, Galen Broido, and Alessandra Troncoso.
NOTABLES
Making History: Broido and Troncoso are the program's first two seniors to compete for Asheville for four years. The pair were recruited as the first incoming freshmen, and they are the only current swimmers who have been at Asheville since the program's start.
Head-to-Head: Tomorrow's meet marks the fourth time the two teams have met, Asheville has a perfect record of 3-0 against North Carolina A&T. The Bulldogs have defeated the Aggies in every dual meet setting since the program's first season in 2012-13.
Championship Mindset: Saturday's Dual meet will be Asheville's last competition leading up to the 2016 CCSA Conference Championship Meet on February 17-20 in Athens, Georgia. The Bulldogs currently rank sixth of 10 teams in the CCSA.
Leading the pack: Freshman, Morgan Rulevich currently has a team-high 12 individual wins. She is ranked in the top 15 in the CCSA in five events: 50 freestyle (14th) with a time of 23.90, 100 Freestyle (11th) with a time of 51.62, 100 Breaststroke (13th) at 1:05.57, the 200 Breaststroke (11th) with a time of 2:21.72, and 100 IM (13th) at 1:01.17.
