Meet the Inaugural Women's Golf Team: Kellen Alsip

The UNC Asheville Women's Golf team will become the Bulldogs' 16th sport when it tees off this fall. Head Coach Breanne Hall announced the inaugural Bulldog women's golf signing class last fall, signing the first four student-athletes in program history.
Let's meet Kellen Alsip, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio –
A medalist at the 2015 Division I Ohio State Athletic Association Championship event, Alsip's first sub-par round was a 71 during her sophomore year during a round played at Hamilton Elks Golf Club in Hamilton, OH. She also qualified for the 2015 AJGA Memorial Tournament, hosted by Ohio State, and won the Greater Miami Conference Tournament as both a junior and a senior while at Sycamore High School.

What I am looking forward to about playing college golf: I'm looking forward to competing against stronger competition at new and challenging courses.
Why I chose UNC Asheville: The campus was beautiful as were the courses. Playing for a new team also appealed to me.
