ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's soccer team will look to conclude their Big South opening road trip the way they opened it – with a victory – when they take on Campbell on Sunday afternoon in Buies Creek. Asheville opened BSC play Wednesday with  a 1-0 victory over Winthrop, while Campbell started league play with a 1-0 home win against Charleston Southern.

 

NOTABLES

-UNC Asheville sophomore Caroline Houser is second in the nation in assists per game ratio (0.89/per) and is second in the nation for total assists (8), one behind Georgia Southern's Nora El-Shami's nine total assists to date. Houser leads the Big South Conference in both categories.

 

-As a team, the Bulldogs lead the country in shots on goal per game average. Asheville enters the weekend averaging 11.33 shots per match.

 

-The Bulldogs are ranked ninth nationally in total shots per game (20.11/per average). Asheville is second in the BSC in the statistic behind national leader Radford's 20.89 shots per game average.

 

-In each of Campbell's victories this season, they have recorded double-digit shots. During Campbell's three losses they have not recorded more than eight shots.

 

-Asheville is 3-2 against Campbell over the teams' last five meetings (2006 non-conference, 2011-2014 BSC matches).
