CHARLOTTE, N.C. – UNC Asheville junior Paige Trent has been named the Big South Women's Soccer Attacking Player of the Week for the opening week of games, the conference announced today.

Trent scored a goal in each of the Bulldogs' season-opening contests last weekend, connecting on a penalty kick in Asheville's 4-0 victory over The Citadel on Friday night and notching a goal in the 63rd minute of Sunday's win over Eastern Kentucky. Sunday's goal proved to be the game-winner.

Overall, Trent finished with eight total shots, four of them on goal, from her forward position in the two contests.

Trent and the rest of the Bulldogs are back in action on Thursday night when they welcome regional rival Western Carolina to Greenwood Field for a 7 p.m. game.
