Annual BAA Golf Classic Tees Off Next Week

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville Bulldog Athletic Association (BAA) will host the 2015 BAA Golf Classic presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina on Monday, August 24 and Tuesday, August 25 at the Country Club of Asheville.
This annual event raises scholarship money for the UNC Asheville Student-Athlete Scholarship Fund. The 2014 BAA Golf Classic raised over $100,000 with over 200 golfers.
Chancellor Mary K. Grant and Jim Canavan are serving as Honorary Chairs for this year's tournament.
Also sponsoring this year's tourney are Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort, Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and Belk.
A few playing spots are still available for this year's tournament. A round of golf for one day for one person is $500 with a team of four players costing $2000.
A hole sponsorship will be $1200 and a tee sponsorship costs $300.
Registration includes green and cart fees with lunch, beer and beverages provided. Prizes include three winners in each flight, two hole-in-one contests, four closest to the holes contests and two straightest drive contests.
There will be an “Awards and After Party" held after each day of golf at the CCA.
