CLINTON, S.C. – The UNC Asheville volleyball team put together three strong sets on Friday night on the way to moving past Presbyterian 3-0 in Big South Conference action.
THE TURNING POINT
The Bulldogs took control of the night for good in the second set, holding Presbyterian to a .097 team attack percentage. Asheville finished two sets with an attack percentage above .400 (first and second sets), while they notched a .321 attack percentage in the final third set.
NOTABLES
-Chrissy Lakatos and Cara Guthrie each finished with a match-high 11 kills for Asheville in the win. Lakatos added four digs, three block assists and two service aces, while Guthrie totaled three digs, a block assist and a service ace of her own.
-Katie Davis passed out 32 of the Bulldogs' 41 total assists in the match.
-The Bulldogs finished with 10 block assists as a team, while committing just eight total attack errors on the night.
-Asheville is now 12-4 against Presbyterian and has swept the season series 6-0.
