ASHEVILLE, N.C. – A trio of UNC Asheville women's soccer players were honored for their play this fall, as Caroline Houser, Emma Houser and Paige Trent were each named Second Team All-State performers by the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA).

The NCCSIA selects a University All-State team, comprised of players from all Division I schools in the state of North Carolina, and also a College All-State team, made up of players from Division II, Division III and NAIA schools across the state.

A total of 22 players representing seven different North Carolina universities were named to the 2015 NCCSIA University Division All-State First and Second Teams. Nominees were submitted by North Carolina sports information professionals and voted on by the NCCSIA members.

Asheville's leader in every offensive statistic except game-winning goals, Caroline Houser's nine assists in 2015 tied her for the most in a single season in program history. Last season's BSC Freshman of the Year, Caroline Houser has notched 13 goals and 13 assists over her first two campaigns. Her 13 career assists are tied for fifth-most all-time and her 39 total points places her 10th in program history.

A rock for the Bulldogs, Trent finished second on the team in every offensive category except game-winning goals. Two of her game-winners came in overtime, while she also notched one of the team's three total PK goals this season. Trent has now played in 17 or more games and notched double-digit point totals in three seasons for Asheville.

Emma Houser is part of an Asheville defense that forced six shutouts this season and caused opponents to tally just a .140 shooting percentage. Over her two seasons, Houser has helped the Bulldogs to 11 total shutouts in her 39 career games played and has three career goals, four career assists from the backline.
