Volleyball Grabs Senior Night Victory over Liberty

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville volleyball team continues to play well as they close out the 2015 regular season and head towards next week's Big South Championships, as the Bulldogs took down Liberty 3-1 on Senior Night for Asheville.
THE TURNING POINT
After Liberty took the opening set, Asheville responded and rolled off the next three sets to grab the match victory.
NOTABLES
-Prior to tonight's match, Asheville honored its four seniors: Katie Davis, Cat Fischer, Chrissy Lakatos and Bryn Pfeiffer.
-Lakatos recorded a match-high 21 kills, adding 16 digs, in the victory.
-Davis dished out 50 assists, while Pfeiffer collected a match-high 26 digs.
-Fischer recorded two aces and 11 digs, while Madison Vaughn contributed eight kills and four blocks.
-Asheville held a .268-.245 advantage in attack percentage for the match.
-The Bulldogs led 7-4 in aces and 9-5 in blocks.
-Asheville is now 16-31 against Liberty since 1994.
UP NEXT
-Following tonight's win, Asheville closes the regular season on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. against Radford. The Bulldogs will begin postseason play next Thursday in the quarterfinals of the Big South Championship, hosted by High Point.
