RESULTS
ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's swimming team opened its dual meet season Friday afternoon with a victory over visiting VMI, with several Bulldog swimmers turning in top times.
NOTABLES
-Senior Galen Broido handily took the win in both distance events with a best ever dual meet 1000 (10:35.53) and solid 500 performance (5:13.87).
-Freshman Morgan Rulevich took home three first place finishes in the 200 free (1:56.53), 100 free (52.78) and 100 breast (1:08.54).
-Sophomore Ale Sanchez earned two individual firsts (200 Individual Medley, 2:16.79 & 100 fly, 1:00.54) and was part of the winning 200 medley relay swimming the freestyle leg (25.52).
-Freshman Jessica Woolfe helped as part of two winning relays- the 200 medley backstroke leg & as part of the 200 free; she also won the individual 50 free.

UP NEXT
-Following today's win, the Bulldogs close out competition with a pair of road meets, first at Campbell on October 24 and then against Brenau on October 30. Asheville returns home on November 7 when they host North Florida.
