Swimming Wins Four Events, Falls at Campbell

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's swimming team took first place in four events, but fell short, 155-107, in a dual meet at Campbell Saturday afternoon.
NOTES
- The Bulldogs took first in four events including the 100 yard backstroke, 200 yard backstroke, 100 yard breaststroke and the 50 yard freestyle.
- For the second consecutive meet, sophomore Ale Sanchez claimed first in multiple events as she took home the 100 backstroke (59.71) and the 200 backstroke (2:07.61) Saturday. Asheville also claimed second (Jessica Woolfe – 1:00.12), fourth (Emily Werth – 1:00.86), and fifth (Stephanie Smith – 1:02.61) in the 100 backstroke while taking third (Werth – 2:11.51), fourth (Smith – 2:12.70) and fifth (Emma Nelson – 2:15.26) in the 200 backstroke.
- With a time of 24.80 seconds, freshman Morgan Rulevich won the 50 yard freestyle. Through two meets this season, Rulevich has three event wins. Freshman Jessica Woolfe took fourth (25.48) in the event.
- Senior Alessandra Troncoso won the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.39. Asheville also took fourth (Shannon Kennedy – 1:11.23) and fifth (Allie Snyder – 1:12.83) in the event.
- Behind efforts from Alexandra van Dorsten (53.72) and Morgan Rulevich (53.90), Asheville claimed second and third, respectively, in the 100 yard freestyle.
