QUOTABLES
“Gardner-Webb was better than us in the first half, and obviously giving away two goals on two set pieces is not an ideal way to start a match. I thought we were better in the second half, but overall I am a little disappointed because we had an opportunity to play well for 90 minutes and we only played well for half of that. The Big South Conference is a very competitive enterprise, and we have another great opportunity to play against a Winthrop team that is on a very good run and an opportunity to see how we respond to this setback.” - Head Coach Mathes Mennell
UP NEXT
-Following tonight's loss, the Bulldogs stay on the road for matches at Winthrop (Saturday) and William & Mary (Oct. 20) before returning home to host Liberty on October 24.
