CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Western Carolina's Sara Robinson scored in the 10th minute as the Lady Catamounts held off UNC Asheville 1-0 in exhibition women's soccer action Friday night at WCU Soccer Complex.

 

The Bulldogs had six shots in the game with Paige Trent taking three for Asheville. Senior goalkeeper Heather Muller made three saves for the Blue & White.

 

Senior forward Kaitlyn Eckert took two shots for the Bulldogs, while Amanda Dailor fired one.

 

Asheville opens the 2014 season next Friday (Aug. 22) at Greenwood Field when the Bulldogs host Chattanooga of the Southern Conference at 6 p.m.
