ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's soccer team is back on the road Saturday when the Bulldogs travel to Charleston Southern for a Big South battle with the Lady Bucs starting at 1 p.m.

Asheville (6-4-1, 1-1-1 BSC) looks to bounce back after an 8-0 loss at Big South-leader Liberty Wednesday afternoon. Charleston Southern (4-6-1, 0-2-1 BSC) is in search of its first league victory of the season.

The Bulldogs have had a tough time against the Lady Bucs over the past few years. CSU is 6-1-1 against Asheville over the past eight meetings, including a 3-0 Buccaneer win at Greenwood Field in 2013. In addition, the Blue & White have not won in Charleston since a 2-1 decision in the 2006 campaign.

"We head into Charleston Southern fixing a few tactical moments and getting back to focusing on the opportunity ahead,” stated Bulldog coach Michelle Demko. “The players have responded well to having two road games in one week. It's tough to turn around in less than 48 hours, but our girls are ready to get on the field together again and compete."

Amanda Dailor continues to lead the Bulldogs in scoring with four goals, three assists for 11 points. Freshman forward Caroline Houser is next with three goals, two assists and eight points. Senior goalkeeper Heather Muller has earned the start in nine matches this year and produced two shutouts with a 1.42 goals-against-average.

Asheville returns home next week for two key Big South Conference matches. The Bulldogs host Winthrop on Wednesday at 5 p.m. and Radford next Saturday at 2 p.m.
