Women's Soccer Will Travel to Coastal Carolina in Quarterfinals of BSC Championships on Saturday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's soccer team will participate in the Big South Conference championships for the first time in three seasons as the Bulldogs will play at Coastal Carolina in the quarterfinals Saturday afternoon starting at 5 p.m.
Asheville (10-8-1) earned the seventh seed for the 2014 championship with a dramatic 2-1 overtime win over Gardner-Webb Tuesday evening at Greenwood Field. The Bulldogs needed a victory to earn a berth in the tournament and earned the win when Kennedy Garrett scored at 108:49 off a pass from Emma Houser.
Michelle Demko's club will face the second-seeded Chanticleers at CCU Soccer Field on Saturday. It will mark the first time the teams have ever met in the BSC championship. Asheville slipped past the Chanticleers back on Oct. 18 when Caroline Houser scored late in the match to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 victory.
