Caroline Houser Named BCBSNC Athlete of the Week

Freshman women's soccer player Caroline Houser is this week's Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina Athlete of the Week at UNC Asheville.
Each week the school selects a BCBSNC Athlete of the Week upon their performance from the previous week's action.
Houser led the Bulldog to two wins in three matches last week. She scored a goal and had two assists in a 5-1 victory over South Carolina State Monday afternoon.
On Saturday, she scored the game-winning goal with less than three minutes remaining the game to give Asheville a 1-0 win over Big South leader Coastal Carolina at Greenwood Field. It was the Bulldogs first win over the Chanticleers since the 2005 season.
The freshman forward leads the Bulldogs in goals scored with six and is tied for the team lead in points with 16.
The women's soccer team plays again this Saturday night at Longwood starting at 7 p.m.
