FARMVILLE, Va. - The UNC Asheville men's tennis team looks to even its Big South Conference slate Wednesday when the Bulldogs travel to league newcomer Longwood for a match starting at 11 a.m.

Asheville (6-4, 0-1 BSC) lost a close 4-3 decision to Liberty at home last Friday to begin league play. The Bulldogs bounced back to win at Lees-McRae 5-0 on Saturday.

Longwood is 3-5 on the season and 0-2 in Big South Conference play. This will be the first ever meeting between the Bulldogs and Lancers on the tennis courts.

Senior Adrien Langeard leads Asheville this season at #1 flight. He's 7-1 on the season in singles play. Freshman Daniel Kripak is 7-3 in singles, while John Schubel has posted a 5-2 singles mark.

Alex Croker and Brett Landau have been steady for the Bulldogs in doubles and have a 4-2 worksheet heading into Longwood.

After Wednesday's match, Asheville will have some time off heading into the second half of the season. The Bulldogs won't play again until hosting Coastal Carolina on Friday, March 22.
